Is a Senior Researcher at INIAV with a Degree in Economics at the School of Economics from the University of Lisbon.

He’s filed of expertise is Agricultural Economics and he currently works on Climate Change and Agriculture.

He has been Seconded National Expert to the European Commission,- DG MARE (2010-2014);

Counselor at the Permanent Representation of Portugal to the EU (2006-2010);

Minister’s Head of Cabinet, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries (2005-2006);

Audit Commission of the Financial and Auditing Control Commission of the Financial Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Development (2002-2006);

Senior Adviser of the Minister Cabinet, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries (2000-2002);

Head of Department of Agricultural Information and Analysis of the Bureau of Planning of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries (1997-2002).
