Vivi Hunnicke Nielsen

(Ph.D in animal genetics from Aarhus University)

 

Started working at Aarhus University in 1984. Since 2013, she has worked as international coordinator at Danish Centre for Food and Agriculture (DCA) at Aarhus University. Functions include international (EU, Nordic) tasks for the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark and other tasks involving international collaboration related to agricultural research and politics.

Vivi Hunnicke Nielsen has experience with strategy development, international coordination and facilitation services, agricultural research and management. Vivi Hunnicke Nielsen is Vice President since 2015 in the Public-Private Partnership “Animal Task Force”.

She is a member of EU Rural Networks’ Assembly and EU Rural Network Assembly Sub-group on Innovation since 2014.

She has been a member of Collaborative Working Group on Sustainable Animal Production since 2014 contributing to the establishment of ERA-Net SusAn. Vivi Hunnicke Nielsen was Executive Secretary of the 65th EAAP Annual Meeting with the primary responsibility of coordination among partners (EAAP General Secretary and Secretariat, President and Council, consulting agency) and organisation of the congress (2013-2014).

She has been Coordinator in Nordic Genetic Resource Council, Nordic Council of Ministers promoting policy development within the agricultural and environmental sector in the Nordic countries (2006-2008).

Vivi Hunnicke Nielsen has been Deputy Head of Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Aarhus University (2009-2012), Head of Biostatistics Group, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Aarhus University (2010-2011) and Coordinator of a research area within fur animal production, Faculty at Science and Technology, Aarhus University (2009-2013).

She has been a researcher within Animal Genetics (1979-2012).
