IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EUROPEAN STRATEGY FOR THE BIOECONOMY
- How to set up a National Bioeconomy Strategy
The INIAV (National Institute for Agrarian and Veterinarian Research) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Rural Development/GPP in partnership with the CSA CASA is pleased to announce the SCAR Workshop "Implementation of the European strategy for the bioeconomy" to be held in Carcavelos, Portugal on May the 20th 2019.
The workshop aims to contribute to the development of a Common Agricultural and Wider Bioeconomy Research Agenda for Portugal and other countries, by bringing together policy stakeholders, SCAR representatives and SCAR Strategic Working Group and Collaborative Working Group Chairs.
The main objective of this workshop is to share experiences of different Member States and deliver recommendations for the organization and implementation of national bioeconomy strategies.
Recommendations will be made to increase the participation of Member States in SCAR activities, thus promoting a more effective coverage of the wider bioeconomy and the development of more successful national bioeconomies.
We are very pleased to welcome the national SCAR delegate of each Member State, or an official replacement – to enable effective, balanced and constructive input, create a platform for discussions and maximize synergies to great impact.
