- Liaison Agency Flanders-Europe (VLEVA)
12th June 2019, 09:30 – 17:00
VENUE: Kortenberglaan 71, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (SCAR Secretariat) and the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, with the support of the H2020 CASA project, are pleased to announce the SCAR Conference 2019 «CONTRIBUTING TO SHAPE THE FUTURE».
The SCAR Conference will bring together SCAR delegates, SCAR Steering Group members, SCAR Strategic and Collaborative Working Groups’ Chairs and Co-chairs and members, and JPI representatives, and European Commission officials to jointly work on the contribution of SCAR to shape the future.
The objective of the Conference is to reflect on SCAR's functioning in the coming year, reflect on the role and impact of SCAR in the EU’s future Horizon Europe Programme, synergies with CAP and policies on research and innovation, how SCAR could assist in speeding up R&I impact at EU and national level, as well as to discuss possible working groups addressing new challenges.
The number of places is limited. Please pre-register by 23 May 2019 following the link: https://services.ptj.de/forms/scar-conference-2019.
Please note that we will come back to you very shortly after your registration to confirm your attendance. In order to ensure a balanced participation and representativeness of the countries, and due to the limited capacity of the Conference room, we might need to restrict the number of members of large national SCAR delegations.
Further details about the conference will be published shortly after the next SCAR SG meeting on 15 May 2019 on this page.
The SCAR Plenary meeting on 13 June 2019 will follow the Conference.
A meeting showcasing a number of the 29 Horizon 2020 Thematic Networks precedes the Conference on 11 June afternoon.
