SCAR Forest held a very successful hybrid meeting on 14th October with delegates meeting in-person in Brussels and others also joining online. The meeting covered a variety of exciting topics, including:

• An overview of the Nature Credits Roadmap, by Maria Luisa Tamborra (JRC, European Commission)
• An update on the Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR), by Patrick McNulty (DAFM, Ireland)
• An update on Forest related policies and R&I initiatives from the European Commission, by Laura Liepiņa (DG Agri, European Commission)
• An overview of the upcoming Forestry Partnership by Mika Kallio (Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland) and Tony Quinn (DAFM, Ireland).

The meeting was held in conjunction with the ForestValue2 - “Science in Progress” event and is followed by EUFORE Stakeholder Event on 15th October under the theme “Shaping the Future of Forest Research & Innovation for a Competitive Europe”.
